Alex Dermody-McKeen is an experienced trial lawyer who brings clarity and composure to difficult moments. He’s always thinking steps ahead and stays level under pressure. He prepares his cases with care and will give your case the attention it deserves.
A former Palm Beach County felony prosecutor and Felony Division Chief, Alex has tried more than 30 jury trials, including complex and sensitive cases. That background gives him a practical understanding of how prosecutors build files, evaluate evidence, and make decisions. He plans to use this insight to examine the State’s case, identify issues early, and hold the government to its burden of proof.
He has trained and supervised felony prosecutors, worked with law enforcement, and handled strategic decisions that shape cases long before trial. Outside the courtroom, Alex has worked in other demanding environments. He has experience in federal campaign operations, working on large‑scale disaster‑recovery projects, and engages in Guardian Ad Litem advocacy for children in foster care.
Educated at The Hotchkiss School, Emory University, and The University of Texas School of Law, Alex is also a former All‑American rower, accustomed to long hours, sustained effort, and the discipline required when a case turns on preparation. Alex offers thoughtful planning, thorough preparation, and a defense built to meet the moment.
